Alluring Vessels

Vessels are among the oldest forms of human creativity—yet each artist finds new ways to reinvent them. From elegant vases to whimsical bowls and sculptural interpretations, this show celebrates the vessel as both function and metaphor. In harmony with Cherry Blossom Week, many works feature the soft pinks and delicate forms that signal springs' arrival. The Ceramic Guild presents pieces that invite viewers to rediscover beauty in the everyday container. Alluring Vessels captures the freshness of spring and the timeless art of form.

March 30th – May 3rd

Celebrating Diversity

Diversity is at the heart of ceramic art—from the clays we shape to the methods we master. This exhibition showcases the full spectrum of ceramic expression: wheel-thrown, hand-built, and slip-cast forms; intricate sgraffito and underglaze painting; and the drama of raku, oxidation, and reduction firings. The Kiln Club presents both functional and sculptural works that highlight the individuality of each artist’s approach.

Celebrating Diversity honors not only variety in technique and material but also the shared spirit of curiosity and creativity that unites the clay community.

May 4th – 31st

Bloom and Vessel

In May, the gallery bursts into bloom. “Bloom & Vessel” celebrates the relationship between ceramics and the natural world — vases, planters, and sculptural forms in-spired by botanical life. Artists interpret the language of growth and renewal through form and surface: blossoms captured in porcelain, leaf patterns etched in slip, and glazes that flow like spring rain. These vessels honor both nature’s fragility and its persistence, echoing the cycles of life that surround us. Whether functional or purely sculptural, each piece serves as a container for beauty — a reminder that art, like a garden, grows from care and imagination. “

June 1st – 28th

The Color of Fire

Summer begins with heat, energy, and transformation. “The Color of Fire” focuses on the diverse firing techniques that define ceramic expression — from the smoky unpredictability of raku to the atmospheric subtleties of reduction and the clean precision of oxidation. Each firing reveals something unique about the clay’s character and the artist’s intention. The exhibition celebrates this collaboration with flame, where color, texture, and surface emerge from controlled chaos. Glazes flash copper, crackle in silver, deepen into iron reds or celadon greens. The results are never entirely predict-able — and that is their beauty. “The Color of Fire” honors both mastery and mystery, reminding us that in ceramics, fire is the final artist.

June 29th – Aug. 2nd

This collection of functional and decorative ceramics invites you to bring a touch of creative celebration to your table, home, or garden.

or mystery, sculpted or painted with vivid personality. Whether naturalistic or whimsical, these works remind us of our fascination with the animal world and the stories we tell through form. Creatures: Real and Imagined is a lively celebration of imagination, craftsmanship, and play.

Clay and Community

September marks a return to connection — to studios, to collaboration, to the collective rhythm of making. “Clay and Community” celebrates the relationships that sustain the ceramic world: between artists and mentors, students and teachers, makers and collectors. The exhibition features group works, collaborative projects, and shared studio practices that highlight the social heart of the craft. Visitors are invited to reflect on how clay brings people together — in the passing of techniques, the sharing of kilns, the joy of opening a firing together. “Clay and Community” reminds us that while every piece is made by individual hands, the art of ceramics thrives in conversation and shared experience. In conjunction with Art Safari.
