Ceramic Guild

From 15 members in 1949, the Ceramic Guild has evolved into a leading organization for ceramic artist in the Washington, DC area. The primary purpose of the Guild is to develop the skills of members, encouraging the development and appreciation of clay art through educational workshops and classes, lectures and discussions and exhibitions. The Guild maintains high standards by jurying work presented and restricting membership to 35 artists whose work meets Guild criteria.

Guild members have exhibited in venues including the Smithsonian Institution, private galleries in the D.C. metro area, nationally and internationally. The Washington Ceramic Guild rotates themed shows featuring selections of member work bi-monthly at our co-operative display and sales space at Scope Gallery.
